Pune women show that size is just a number
Pune, 23 April 2017: At the Final rounds of auditions for the Miss & Mrs Curvy Queen 2017, which were held at Tora Tora in Pune today, 30 women from different walks of life walked the ramp with poise and confidence, as they answered a flurry of questions from the panel of judges.
Speaking about the auditions, Trishla Rane, Director, 4 Dimension Media, organizer of the pageant, said,” It’s been a brilliant experience for me to have organized such a pageant. The response from the contestants has been brilliant.”
Neha Chanchlani, Owner, The Bounce Company and co-organizer of the pageant, said, “ For us this pageant has been an eye opener, in terms of the response we have received from the participants.” Sam Churchill a model groomer, and a member of the jury said,” we are here to bring the change is this pageant as this is happening for the first time, we wanted to tell the society that size is just a number and these plus size beauties are as good as anyone else.”
Aishhwarya Ghaatge, Winner of Mrs India International (BWP) and many other titles who was a member of the jury, said, “ she is supporting the contest as confidence is the most important element of one’s personality and let’s kick out body shaming as it has no place here; this is one platform for all plus size beauties.”
Mihika Bhanot, Image Consultant, and member of the jury“ We are all hour glasses with just a couple of minutes here and there. This contest is very unique concept as it celebrates varying body shapes and bids goodbye to low self confidence arising from body shaming.” She added further “ you need to love your body and accept that you are curvy and there is just some more to love.
The auditions will be followed by an intensive grooming session, with the Grand Finale of the pageant going to be held 7th May in Pune.
